Feeling A Bit Overwhelmed…..But I Am Enjoying The Experience So Far!

So I have working double computers to figure this all out.  I start the recorded blog from the 21st Educator's Website on my home PC while I am working on my Face of the Classroom website on my MAC. I stop and start the program so I can try and experiment with the different features that Karen and Laura are showing us.

I figured out a couple of neat things for my Face of the Classroom site.  First, I learned how to put together a slideshow.  I really like this feature because I take A LOT of pictures in my classroom.  We cook at least once a week, field trips, Pretty Pony Pasture's therapeutic horseback riding programming, a special event or celebration and gosh knows what else might come up!

Here is one of my paras showing us what tap shoes are and her fancy footwork. We were working on the book, If You Give A Pig A Pancake by Laura Numeroff.

And here is one of my students trying out her fancy footwork!
Putting together a slide show of each one of our classroom moments gives my parents the ability to see what we are doing in the classroom and they are able to see their child in action. My parents love when I email them individual pictures and since they all allow internet pictures of their child I can give them all my new site and they can check it out daily, if they want.

I am going to work on seeing if I can also download movies. (Well, maybe once I get everything together for my first assessment on October 12th)

I also have been messing around with the tool bar, fonts, sizing, etc. adding pages and materials to those pages.

So on I go…..I am still only 19:31 into Karen's 42:15 recording…..wish me luck!!!!!
